Growing up in Mumbai, India, I was constantly surrounded by people from various walks of life. I listened to the life stories of my medicine-practicing parents, impoverished neighbors, sharp shopkeepers, and gummy grandparents. This variety of experiences from a young age fed my passion for storytelling. That passion led me to Taylor University, where I earned a BSc. in Multimedia Journalism to equip me to tell the untold stories of the world around me.

My name is Enoch Eicher, and I am a 22-year-old Humanitarian and Multimedia Journalist with experience in both visual and print media. I love crafting stories that accurately and authentically portray the experiences and perspectives of people and situations often overlooked by society and the media cycle.

I have exercised my journalistic and creative abilities through various opportunities in both professional and university settings. In 2023, my long-form feature story on immigration in Iowa was published by WORLD Magazine. That same summer, I wrote for Broadband Media, a trade journal based in Washington, D.C. While there, I attended and reported on events on Capitol Hill, including congressional hearings, press conferences, and debates. My published articles covered how current legislation is shaping broadband, artificial intelligence, and internet technology.

But I was not content with just writing stories - and felt that there was more that needed to be done. I did not want to stand by and solely report on the troubles of this broken world. That's why, I am currently working at Meheba refugee settlement in Zambia, with refugees from various parts of Africa. In my current role, I am working alongside the team at Braveheart to build peace in the region particularly amongst impoverished refugees, and those who have faced gender based violence.

There is so much that I have to learn. Join me in learning about Zambia and the refugee situation in Southern Africa by subscribing to my monthly newsletter, and join me in learning about the world's many untold stories through reading my blog.
